Not so, with this film. The music is of digital quality. With the exception of the martial music at the beginning, it is all instrumental, western-sounding canned music. The voiceover, as well, is clear, and sounds as if it was recorded with at least a broadcast-quality microphone, but with a strange tinny quality that makes me even MORE suspicious...

A decent recording mike costs 20 bucks- and if the people who put this video together have the software and equipment to do so, they have the money to buy a decent microphone. I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that the voiceover in intentionally screwed with, to make it sound "distant" and "foreign".

And the foremost thing that makes me suspicious, is that the script sounds like it was written by a western peace activist, not an insurgent. They systematically touch on every point raised by the western peace movement. The last insurgent video I saw was ten seconds of voiceover (with a HEAVY rehab filter applied- don't ask me why- but it's popular, in that part of the world), and three minutes of shots of humvees blowing up. This video talks about the dollar versus the euro, sanctions, and even tries to pull a few heartstrings. This is FAR slicker, and message-centered, than anything I've seen, coming out of Iraq. Not that I mean to denegrate the PR abilities of the Iraqi Insurgency, this just doesn't make sense...

Am I to believe that after almost two years of producing videos that are a strange mix between "Real TV", a fifth-grade videography class, and a low-budget porn film, the Iraqi Resistance has finally hired a PR firm and set up a media 100 video suite?

I could go on, but you get the idea...

The question is: who dealt this mess? Sympathetic peace activists, trying to frame the Iraqi insurgency in their terms? Pro-war people, putting the words of peace activists into the mouths of the insurgency, and link them, by default, to the recent spate of beheadding videos? Or- just a bored videographer in Britain, Canada, or the US, seeing how well they can fool the media?

Time will tell- but I declare this to be a fake.

Dear George,

You don’t mind if I call you George do you? When you sent me a letter offering your condolences on the death of my son, Spc. Casey Austin Sheehan, in the illegal and unjust war on Iraq, you called me Cindy, so I naturally assume we are on a first name basis.

George, it has been seven months today since your reckless and wanton foreign policies killed my son, my big boy, my hero, my best-friend: Casey. It has been seven months since your ignorant and arrogant lack of planning for the peace murdered my oldest child. It has been two days since your dishonest campaign stole another election…but you all were way more subtle this time than in 2000, weren’t you? You hardly had to get the Supreme Court of the United States involved at all this week.

You feel so proud of yourself for betraying the country again, don’t you? You think you are very clever because you pulled the wool over the eyes of some of the people again. You think that you have some mandate from God…that you can “spend your political capital” any way that you want. George you don’t care or even realize that 56, 000, 000 plus citizens of this country voted against you and your agenda. Still, you are going to continue your ruthless work of being a divider and not a uniter. George, in 2000 when you stole that election and the Democrats gave up, I gave up too. I had the most ironic thought of my life then: "Oh well, how much damage can he do in four years?" Well, now I know how much you have damaged my family, this country, and this world. If you think I am going to allow you another four years to do even more damage, then you truly are mistaken. I will fight for a true vote count and if that fails, your impeachment. Also, the impeachment of your Vice President. The only thing is, I'm not politically savvy, and I don't have a Karl Rove to plan my strategy, but I do have a big mouth and a righteous cause, which still mean something in this country, I hope.

All of this lying, fooling, and betraying must be “hard work” George. You really think you know what hard work is?

George, let me tell you what “hard work” really is.

Hard work is seeing your oldest son, your brave and honorable man-child go off to a war that had, and still has, no basis in reality. Hard work is worrying yourself gray and not being able to sleep for 2 weeks because you don’t know if your child is safe.

Hard work is seeing your son’s murder on CNN one Sunday evening while you’re enjoying the last supper you’ll ever truly enjoy again.

Hard work is having three military officers come to your house a few hours later to confirm the aforementioned murder of your son…your first born…your kind and gentle sweet baby.

Hard work is burying your child 46 days before his 25th birthday. Hard work is holding your other three children as they lower the body of their big “baba” into the ground. Hard work is not jumping in the grave with him and having the earth cover you both.

But, Dear George, do you know what the hardest work of all is? Trying to digest the fact that the leader of the country that your family has fought for and died for, for generations, lied to you and betrayed your dear boy’s sense of honor and exploited his courage and exploited his loyalty to his buddies. Hard work is having your country abandon you after they killed your son. Hard work is coming to the realization that your son had his future robbed from him and that you have had your son's future and future grand-children stolen from you. Hard work is knowing that there are so many people in this world that have prospered handsomely from your son's death.

George, I must confess that I and my family worked very HARD to re-defeat you this time, but you refuse to stay defeated. Well, we are watching you very carefully. We are going to do everything in our power to have you impeached for misleading the American people into a disastrous war and for mis-using and abusing your power as Commander-in-Chief. We are going to scream until our last breath to bring the rest of our babies home from this quagmire of a war that you have gotten our country in to: before too many more families learn the true meaning of Hard Work. We know it is going to be an uphill battle, knowing how Republican Congress is, but thanks to you, we know the meaning of Hard Work and we’re not afraid of hard work at all.

The 56, 000, 000 plus citizens who voted against you and your agenda have given me a mandate to move forward with my agenda. Also, thanks to you and your careless domestic policies, I am unemployed, so this will be my full-time job. Being your political downfall will be the most noble accomplishment of my life and it will bring justice for my son and 1125 (so far) ot

By the way, George, how many more innocent Iraqis are your policies going to kill before you convince them that you are better than Saddam? PERSONAL AND SITE-RELATED CRAP.

First off, I have say something about a new referrer to this site, FBI.org. Why do I point them out? Well- first off- because they've eclipsed Howard Stern as my Number one referrer.

But this ain't just a link- someone rented the domain name, FBI.org, and just pointed the URL at this site. I did a quick search on whois, and found out that it was some guy over in Britain. I wrote to him, but never got a response.

But- here's what gets me....

I get e-mails, every day, from people who go to FBI.org, and for some reason, upon viewing this site, they still think THIS is the official Federal Bureau of Investigation website. They, for some reason, believe that the FBI site would feature videos of Bush being flushed down a toilet, and massive anti-war bias.

Well- not that I'm complaining- I dig the traffic- but I have to wonder who the living hell out there takes a look at this site, and figures that I'm the FBI. When I do get such e-mails, I refer them to fbi.gov, which is the actual site for the FBI, but DAMN...

If anything, this is the Federal Bush Investigation site- or, alternately, on days after I have a hot lamb curry at the local indian place, the Fiery Bowel Institute. So- one last word, on this subject: If you've gotten a nigerian scam e-mail, or want to become an FBI agent (I get a lot of such requests- and it always makes me think of "Taxi Driver"), please don't bother me with it- go to the Official FBI site

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE BOSTON DVD?

I have spent a lot of time, anguishing, over this- I had a full three hours of footage from the convention, and I wanted to burn it all to a single DVD. Foolishly, I figured since they were able to burn over 3 boring hours of "Lord of the Rings" onto one DVD (and- as an aside here- am I the only human being on earth who found those movies to be a horrible waste of time?), I'd be able to do the same with my footage.

Unfortunately, I discovered that the only way I'd be able to burn 3 hours of footage into a DVD is to use a dual-burn DVD burner, along with a certain kind of DVD. Such equipment would cost me tens of thousands, and that kinda cash just ain't at my fingertips...

so... My only hope now, is to re-mix the existing footage, and cut out a full 50% of the material... and, unfortunately, such will take me more time...

And, on the subject of time...

I get a LOT of emails from folks that are asking something I am always asking myself: "When is the next animation coming out?" Folks- I seriously want to create a new animation- I am constantly breating myself to do so- but- the sad fact is- right now, I am working my BUTT off, trying to bring in enough freelance work here, to pay the bills, the rent, and keep the site online. It's kinda hard to find time off, for that kinda stuff, anymore- I could go into detail- but if you wanna hear the whole spiel, write to me, and I'll give you the canned, cut and paste bulkmail response....

I am a traitor. I am a socialist, a communist, and the greatest threat to to the values of america that exists today. I am more dangerous than Osama Bin Laden, more treacherous than an envelope of anthrax, and more immoral than a busload of pedophiles.

And if you're reading this, so are you.

Unbelieveable? I thought so- but apparently, I am a member of an insidious cabal that holds sway over this nation's destiny in ways I never understood, or comprehended.

Judges, working in my name, are working to abolish marriage, christianity, contact sports in high school, red meat, the right to bear arms, and the very concept of private property. I am responsible, personally, for the practices of abortion, homosexuality, and religions other than christianity. I control hollywood, the media in all of its forms, and the educational system. I run every major labor union, every PTA association, and every IRS agent apparently bows their knee to me, whenever I snap my fingers.

I control jackbooted armies of lawyers that use junk science to undermine the business of corporations- legions of federal regulators who's only aim is to subvert industry, and an endless horde of homosexuals, feminists, activists, peacenicks, vegetarians, atheists, and hollywood executives.

Despite the systematic increase of republican control over every level of government, I am a force that is universal, unstoppable, and so posessed of a rapacious lust for power, that I will not rest until my control is absolute. You see- I'm part of the "Liberal Elite".

I didn't know about this- I thought I was just an unemployed web developer, just trying to get by in a rapidly-sinking economy. I usually can't get the light to change when I want to- but now, apparently, I am in command of forces that control life at every level, and my power is growing, every day.

Now- how did I come to this conclusion? Well, I spent a few hours on the Freeper newswires over at Free Republic, and I found it to be a strangely surreal landscape of perverse ego-bosting. I can't pay my electric bill or get a job scrubbing toilets, but apparently, simply because I believe in the progressive/liberal agenda, I am part of the most powerful force that has ever existed in this country...

But hey- let's get serious here, for a second...

We know the above power-fantasy is a prize load of bullplop- The media is solidly in the hands of the conservatives. The courts, on all levels, have been filled with more and more conservative judges (conservatives like to use the term "activist judges"- strange how liberal jurisprudence is called "activism", while right-wing jurisprudence gets a green light). The environmental and business regulations that I'd like to see (regulations, coincidentally- that every other industrialized country has already passed into law), are being rolled back, on every front.

But, for some reason- the red-state freeper base still believes that people like you and I are still exercising complete, ufettered control of the course of our media, our social mores, and our national discourse.

Why is this?

This last election, although won through methods that are suspect at best, have brought the red staters within a five-vote margin of a fillibuster-proof majority (something they're most likely to remedy in 2006), solidified republican control of state governorships and legislatures, and made sure that the supreme court remains in republican hands for at least the next four years- possibly longer, barring a heart attack or two.

But go to free republic, and you'd get the impression that none of this matters- despite all of this, I, and my fellow liberals, are SOLID
LY in control of where this country is going...

The reason for this? Well- it's because of a certain mind-shift within the red state mentality. Author Thomas Frank, in his book "What is the Matter with Kansas" labels it "The backlash".

It is a movement of a complexity that would take pages to explain fully, here, but it has it's precedent within the body politic. Basically, whenever a social and demographic group is systematically disenfranchised, driven into poverty, and find their day-to-day interests ignored by the powers that be, they:

1: Seek the comradre of shared hardship, which can be the strongest bond known to man.

2: Revert to an often hypocritical adherence to a spartan black-and-white view of the world, often centered around the prevailing religious tenets held by those stuck in point #1

3: Develop a collective, generational abhorrence to those that they feel are responsible for their predicament (which can be defined or re-deifned, as conditions allow- see below)- an abhorrence that will cause them to act, in many cases, against their own self-interest.

Now- the republican party, in its current state- cannot be defined as conservative, or favorable to the poor, and certainly not favorable to the systematically disenfranchised- however- they siezed upon the recognition of this mass lumpenproletariat, and took the offensive.

They brought their message to these people- and instead of focussing on matters that are close to home- such as the declining standard of living, the poor educational system, and the crumbling infrastructure- they capitalized on point #2, above, and framed the argument:

"The problem isn't that you don't have money in your bank account, or that you don't have the money to put food on your family (sic bush), it's that our country has been siezed by people who are elitists- they want to CONTROL YOUR LIVES." The last thing that these folks want, is more control- they've suffered under neglect, and have seen it as control.

Touching on hotbutton issues, they framed the debate into an "us versus them" paradigm, in which issues that SHOULD have mattered (IE- education, healthcare, and infrastructure), were supplanted by issues that mean very little (such as gay marriage, etc.)

How did they do this? They took a page from the books of dictators past, and they capitilized on the anger of the disenfranchised, and told them: Feel hopeless? Don't blame the corporation that's ruining your environment, and cutting your wages- blame the LIBERAL ELITE- They want to TAX you- they want to GET INTO THE MINDS OF YOUR CHILDREN, and UNDERMINE YOUR RIGHT TO OWN A GUN (Even if the republicans raise taxes more, on average, than the democrats, want to do away with public education, altogether, and most of the poor disenfranchised don't even have the werewithal to purchase a firearm- it's the THOUGHT that matters- not the action.)

Inject into this a great deal of anger, and outrage. This is essential- turn on Fox "News", and you'll see it- Despite the total control over our government by the republican party, they remain ANGRY- HOW DARE YOU QUESTION US IN A TIME OF WAR, etc, etc.

And why are they angry? Well- that brings us back home...

They're angry at a ghost phantom that never existed, and doesn't exist today: This undefined, supremely powerful "Liberal Elite", that, as long as they are free to define things, is the single, most powerful force in this country today.

And that brings me to the most frightening thing:

To be a true adherent of the Bush/neocon/fox agenda, to truly believe that "liberal elitists" like you and I are in supreme control, is to adhere to a political philosophy that has at its heart the kernel of eternal defeatism. No matter how much power you gain- no matter how many news organizations you control, now matter how many senators are in your corner, now matter how many governors or supreme court justices you have as a result of your votes or activism- it doesn't matter- because the LIBERAL ELITE is still there. It is, in fact, contrary to the most fundamental tenets of conservatism- that one should take responsibility for one's own actions- screw responsibility- blame the "Liberal Elite"

The LIBERAL ELITE is in control of the media, after all- and is poisoning your child's mind with images of black men kissing white women (or vice versa)- never mind that Fox "news" is but one scion of News Corp, which is the purveyor of the most mindless TV available, today.

The LIBERAL ELITE is in control of the Judiciary- never mind that the supreme court, and just about every court, downwards, is stacked with republican-appointed judges- You never can trust them lawyers. They're all homo-loving antichristian activists, after all- remember that flier we got from Pat Robertson a few weeks back?

The LIBERAL ELITE is in control of the environmental movement, so it doesn't matter that our son got mercury poisoning from tapwater, as a result of environmental rollbacks signed into law by Bush, by executive order- he's a good christian, and knows what's right, after all- besides, if the LIBERAL ELITE had had it's way, the local turpentine plant would have had to add runoff filters, and that would have cost the company millions, which would have led to layoffs (and DAMN IT- don't DARE to say that the CEO might have shaved off a few hundred K from his salary to pay for them- you LIBERAL ELITE always have to punish the SUCCESSFUL.)

The LIBERAL ELITE is in control of the educational system- even though our textbooks have to pass muster under our state's republican-appointed approval body, and are given about 60% of the funding of what they need to handle the classes that they have. My son came home, and talked about the earth being millions of years old- god DAMN you LIBERAL elites- pushing your evolutionist agenda down his throat (oh, and as an aside- my son came home with a stained pair of underpants, because you folks say your funding won't allow you to buy toilet tissue- TYPICAL LIBERALS!) I could go on- but you get the picture.

It doesn't matter how much power these people accrue for the republican party, through their apathy, their blind adherence to an unidentifiable political philosophy, or their willful ignorance. They are blameless- the fault lies with you, and I...

Why?

Because we're the "liberal elite". We have the power of gods, and the omnipresence that dictators of the past could only dream of.

Lot of good it does me. The country is going down the toilet, and I guess, because the republicans say I control it, it's all my fault, even though the people I oppose hold all the strings of power.

If only I were an effeminate neocon boy with blonde hair, and a lot of cash- then I could be like Ann Coulter, and get a sex change operation. Then, I could stick like a leech on the warted hide of the neocon movement, and make a living out of making an ass out of myself, instead of just ranting away on a website...

RAMBLING,RAMBLING,RAMBLING

First off, I'm pretty sure that many of you are aware that Rumsfeld dragged his reptillian posterior to Kuwait, where he had "face time" with an audience of 2300 occupation troops. I guess the personnel heading the event committee were too busy dealing with suicide bombers and snipers to have properly screened the audience, because one brave soul arose, and asked why US soldiers were forced to dig through dumps for scrap metal and glass to use as armor. Naturally, Rumsfeld responded with a heap of BS- along with an excuse that I just could help but laugh at:

"You can have all the armor in the world on a tank and it can (still) be blown up,"

He prefaced this morbidly hilarious comment with the following:

"You go to war with the Army you have, not the one you might want"

Well, I hate to be a johnny come-lately, but hell, Mr. Rumsfeld, I've been asking this, for well onto two years:

WHY THE BLOODY HELL DID WE HAVE TO GO TO WAR, IN THE FIRST PLACE?

No- I forget- you're standing in front of 2300 battle-hardened soldiers, and if you suddenly developed a pair of mammalian testes, and found the courage to own up and admit that this whole venture was to send them to their early deaths to make a few oil and military oligarchs even more obscenely rich than they already are, you might have had a small problem on your hands...

And- might I point out the absurdity of your statement- give me a sec here...

YOU didn't go to war, mr. Rumsfeld. You were sitting on your butt in an oak-lined conference room, along with your other toadies, when this misbegotten war was initiated. You know who went to war? THESE PEOPLE WENT TO WAR, and they're wondering why YOU, along with your sick, murdering cohorts did so, without even being able to ensure that they would have to worry about having their APCs blown to bits by a 3-dollar IED.

Now- I doubt Spec. Wilson is on the same political page as I, but I have to salute him. Here was a soldier, who had the guts to stand up to the second-highest military official in the United States, and ask why he wasn't given the equipment that he and his fellows needed to keep heir heads from being blown off. In a country that lacks common sense, anyone who stands up for it, gets a gold star in my book. If there's anyone out there who knows how I can send this guy a care package of a few paperbacks and a bit of good old american junkfood, lemme know...

And, as a postscript- There's a rather infamous conspiracy theorist out there by the name of David Icke (dont ask me- just do a Google)- who maintains that the world is controlled by a cabal of shapeshifting interdimensional lizards who war amongst themselves over "power nodes", such as Tibet, Jerusalem, etc (again- google him). I never put much credence in Mr. Icke's theories, but when I see Rumsfeld, I have to wonder if he has a point- I've never seen Rumsfeld's tongue, but I'm willing to bet it's forked.

AND THE ULTIMATE INDIGNITY...

Veterans from the war in Iraq are already showing up at HOMELESS SHELTERS. Words fail me.

I'm just wondering- am I the only one who, since the "election" has sworn off of TV "news"?

I mean, before the "election", I'd spend half of my day with CNN or fox "news" running in the background, if nothing else, to see what the corporate media was feeding down the throats of the gullible american public. But since november 3rd, I just can't do it. Whenever I'm channel-surfing, and I happen to accidentally hit 66 (Fox) or 76 (CNN), it's sorta like that last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark- Blue lightining crackles from the screen and I can feel my face sloughing away:

"Hmn- Daily Show and Drawn Together- quality viewing!"

"Sean Hannity, Candy Crowley, and Wolf Blitzer- the horror, the horror!" Fortunately, I manage to turn it off before my cats' heads explode like Rush Limbaugh's stomach stapling, and I move on to something more agreeable- like a ten-hour EWTN special on the bowel movements of Popes past...

For the longest time, I tuned in to these corporate media outlets to see how the right was manipulating our media- but ya know? It's no longer fun, and I've learned all I can, and it ain't pretty. The sum total of the lesson?

The corporate media lies, and lies, and lies, again. CNN, ABC, CBS, ABC, And Most of all Fox, are toeing the Bush administration line, filling the airwaves with a volume of misinformation and bald-faced deception that would have made the editor of Pravda and Joseph Goebels green with envy.

Think about it: In the past months- how many hours have been spent on things like the Kobe Bryant and Scott Peterson cases? Compare those endless hours of courtroom watching, with the amount of time they spend on covering the ongoing horror in Iraq. I can't even begin to count the times that "news" broadcasts have been interrupted because Kobe just walked out of the courtroom, or some new tidbit of nonsense about Michael Jackson came out. I have to ask:

Why can't the news networks interrupt their broadcast, and announce:

"This just in- another US soldier has died in Iraq."

Instead of spending five minutes discussing the earth-shaking importance of new revelations about the death of Princess Diana, or the new season of reality shows, how about spending that time, telling us about how the administration skewed intelligence on North Korea? Or howabout giving us just, once, single minute of reporting on the voting recounts that are going on, across this country?

I could go on- but you get the picture...

Myself, I have said "no more."

With just a few keystrokes, I can gain access to the same newswires that these corporate media lapdogs of the republican party use. I can read the newest headlines from the Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, and the BBC. And unlike "news" sources like Fox and CNN, I am in control, and can find out the REAL DEAL- no Britney Spears, no Princess Di, No Kobe, no Michael Jackson- and most importantly of all- NO SPIN- I'm not subject to the self-censorship that the corporate media has so willingly shackled itself with.

Yeah- I know- it's tough- you actually have to READ, instead of the news being read off to you by photogenic newscasters, and heck- it takes TIME to find out the real deal- but it's better than being lied to, and having your face melt...

One note, though- I still watch The Daily Show. Strange how a comedy news show takes on tougher subjects, and tells more truth, than news networks with budgets of millions.

I'm pretty sure a majority of you out there are familiar with Greg Palast. He is, without a doubt, one of most important, talented, and thorough investigative journalists on this small, green planet we all live on.

Two Months back, Greg's office contacted me, asking me to create a short flash trailer/animation about his new DVD release The Bush Family Fortunes. It's a GREAT film, and should be seen by every american who really cares about what's going on in this country.

I created this animation for the film, and, after a month of humming and hawing, Palast's office declared that the animation wasn't "Punchy" enough, and trashed it.

Such is life, I guess. Since it isn't being used by his office, I'm featuring it, here, for those who want to check it out.

That's because I have taken the advice from numerous folks that I shouldn't just delete previous text postings to this site, and instead, archive them. I'll be routinely moving material to similar archives, at the end of each month.

I've been sent a lot of links, lately, and I plan on updating the links page within the next 48 hours, but a few of them are a tad too urgent, to wait.

Secondly, Draft Dean is a great activist site working to get Howard Dean appointed the new head of the DNC. I supported Dean (After Kucinich) in the primaries, and he's the best person for the job- sorry Donna Brazille- but the "New Democrat" line has to end, here, and now.

I'm pooped, folks. sorry I don't have new material, tonight, but I've been working on a lot of freelance work, lately (gotta keep the rent paid, after all.)

I'm going to be assembling a new radio show, over the next 48 hours, incorporating a lot from alla the CDs sent to me, in recent months. I've gotten a lot of requests to create a low-bandwidth version of the show, but to tell the truth, live365 charges for each streaming broadcast, and I can barely afford the one, right now.

I have also gotten e-mails asking when I'll finaly drag my unproductive butt into line, and produce a new animation. Well- I will when the inspiration strikes, and more inspiring music comes along (and the music is an INTESNELY personal choice of mine- so please stop referring me to stuff by KMFDM, Ozzy Ozbourne, and other such folks whom I find unlistenable), I happen to have the best industrial record shop in the world three blocks down the road from me, and if there's anything that's worthy of animation use, I'll certainly find it.

On the music front: London After Midnight, a phenominal goth/techno band hailing in the LA area, will be using Bushflash animations, including "Anniversary", and "Poisonous Legacy", in their pre-show video presentations. They apparently tour widely- from Europe to South America- if they're showing up in your town, I suggest checking them out- I certainly will.

And, a blatant Plug, here- I just got "Strain", the new album by industrial supertroopers FleshField, and I'm listening to it, as I type. It's pretty durn good, so far- but unless you're into the heavy EBM etched-acid industrial stuff, I'd steer clear. The reason I plug them so mightilly, is they were the first band to commission me to create a music video for them, which can be viewed here. Pretty rockin' stuff, considering it hails from Columbus, Ohio.

Bush's trip to Canada? Well- I guess in the next couple of weeks, we'll be changing Canadian Bacon over to "Freedom Bacon"- I wonder how long it'll take the freepers to come up with abusive language towards Canada...

Okay- so now, we're not content with isolating ourselves from the rest of the world- that was a larger project- now, we're going to focus our efforts, and isolate ourselves from the rest of the north american continent?

One thread I've found consistent, in the freeper thread- despite the overwhelming public opposition to the Bush visit, they continue to hail it as an "Overwhelming success". This shows that the Bush camp has fallen under the sway of something bush decried as "the soft bigotry of low expectations"- in other words- any country that Bush is able to visit that doesn't degenerate into street-by-street battles between protestors and police, is an " overwhelming success".

Thank you, people and free-thinking members of the parliament of Canada, for making Bush's visit the uncomfortable media-blackout that it was. I know it's frustrating to be blocked out of the media- a half-million of us marched against Bush in NYC, at the RNC, and we got less than five minutes of airtime. But take heart- I, and millions of other americans were there with you in spirit, and salute you for your efforts, deeds, and words. No matter where this bastard goes, we're never gonna give him a moment's rest.

New stuff in the Links page, and I recieved a few more notices regarding the theft of the 2004 election:

Number one, Online Journal has a couple of new articles detailing how Halliburton and Saudi (yes- Saudi) money was used to skew results. The most interesting part is how the vote counting center in Warren County, Ohio, was locked down in response to an unspecified "terrorist threat." Bush wound up "winning" the county by 72%- a margin FAR out of proportion to his "victory", statewide. You can view the article here. There is an equally interesting follow-up article here.

Secondly- it turns out that Kent Blackwell, Ohio Secretary of State (and, coincidentally, head of the Bush campaign in Ohio), threw out fully one-third of the ballots cast in Cuyahoga county. That's right- with a wave of his wand, over 8,000 votes were thrown in the trash. God bless the republicans- they sure do believe in democracy, don't they? Fortunately, People for the American Way have brought a lawsuit against the Sec of State, to have the votes reinstated. Time will tell if they are successful.

Strange how much has changed in a month- just thirty days ago, I had a tad of faith in the system- now, hell- it's coming out of the woodwork that our electoral process has been hijacked by a cabal that makes a post-communist Kleptocracy like Byelorus look like Switzerland. One can only shake their heads in wonder, really.

Now, on this christmas day, I would like to show a bit of togetherness, fairness, and inclusiveness here at Bushflash.com, and give a bit of bandwidth to the opposing side.
